If you read my main blog you will know that I have tried out a few autobiographical pieces, choosing subjects which I knew I could work up into something of special interest or feeling. But I have wanted to undertake a sustained piece of writing that would end up as my consolidated life story. My plan is to leave a record of my life for my children. With any luck it might also be well enough written to turn into a readable book for a wider audience.
However, I need to begin by producing a factual framework that I can flesh out later, once I am able to see the overall shape. So in this new blog I am just putting down my memories in chronological order, and writing what I can about them as they come up. In their present form, these posts are not much more than a gallop through the years, but if I don’t persevere with the framework while my mind is clear, I may lose my way altogether. So I shall keep galloping, and meanwhile hope the addition of photographs will give a bit more body to the story.

JUST AS IT COMES
My title originates in the familiar exchange: "How do you like your tea?" - "Oh, just as it comes, thanks". The implication is that I am writing my story just as it comes, and also that I have lived my life just as it comes, too.
